Justin Flynn. Minerva writes poems

THE chaper is abourt a girl whos name is Minerva, shes a little bit older than Esperanza, she has two kids and a husband who leaft her. Minervas mother takes care of the kids and she prays that her family has enough eat every night. She also wrights poem severy night. Esperanza and Minerva read eachothers poems, her are sad and somthign wrong.

"Her poems are sad like a house on fire"(84) simile.

Yes I think Esperanza feels sorry for her because she compares her to her grandma and her grandma was locked up.

Yes i think that Esperanza feels sorry for Minerva becuase int he chapter she is talking about how she has two kids and a husband who left her. Also becuase Minerva is only a little bit older than Esperanza so she feels bad becuase all these things have already happened to her.
